Public school systems in America perform poorly. This half-hour clip from ABC does a good job exposing the problems and laying out the solutions.

The makes me want to move to Belgium when I have kids, or at least move to an area where school vouchers are legal. It also makes me really creeped out by the teachers’ union and disappointed in their attitude of “protect my job over the best interests of teaching children”.
