The new internet etiquette ~ maps

My brother, a friend, and I want to go to tonight’s Widespread Panic show in Boston and pay face-value for the tickets.

At 2pm, I searched the Boston Craigslist for Widespread Panic tickets under $50. I emailed some of the people who showed up in the results.

At 2:30pm, I get a phone call from one of the folks I emailed. We meet at the Park Street T stop at 3:30pm to make the exchange.

I get to the Boston Public Library a little before 4pm, sign into the BPL’s free wireless, and email my brother and my friend that the tickets are in my hands and let’s meet at The Barking Crab at 6:30pm before the show.

Here’s the etiquette:

I knew I had been to the Crab with Greg, my brother, before. However, I’d never been with Jon, plus he just moved to Boston last month. So, saying “meet at The Barking Crab” didn’t feel like a full plan to me. What was missing was “how to get there”. The simplest, most direct solution:

I included a link to the Google Map directions right under “See you at the Crab at 6:30”.

Two lines of email, all pieces of information politely included.
